Talking tire replacement

Looks like my rear tire is shot and needs to be replaced. Questions: where is a good place to go to have it done, (with pre-purchased tire) and my front isnít really worn like the rear. Is it a good rule of thumb to change both or is it the rear is changed much more often than the front?

On a street bike, I am subject to go 3 rears to 1 front. With BT016. Maybe 2-1 with 002rs.

I prefer the Bridgestone BT-0016 for the streets. You already know how I ride on the streets, and they stick well and last longer.

John at www.scracecenter.com has bridgestones stacked for days in his garage. Free mount and balance, loose wheel.

Thumbs up Tire

Thanks for the info guys. Over the last week or so Ive ask numorus riders what kind of tire they prefer or would suggest and not 2 give me the same tire. When I purchased the 08 750 in july 08 it came with Bridgestones however 500 miles into it I noticed a nail in the rear tire and had it replaced with what they (Stubbs) had in stock, a Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier. Over 6500 miles later she is just now showing the ďtale taleĒ signs of the ware stripe down the center of the rear tire. Now while I am in position to try out something new, Michiline, Corsa, whatever I think I am going to replace it with another Dunlop and ride until itís time to replace both with a new set sometime this summer.

As for removing a rear or front tire myself Ive never attempted that before nor do I have the tools or jack of the like. When I do the full set this summer (tools and all) I am hoping I can have a vet rider mechanic stand over me and tell me exactly what to do and just exactly what it is I am doing so I can be educated and all likeÖ

Looking forward to it though.

Just ask and one of us will come over and show you how to change a tire.

I liked the Michelin's for street tires. How aggressive of a rider are you?

Stick with a pilot power 2ct or even a pilot road.

Cool tire

I agree on the michelin pilot 2ct's

Went from the battleax's on my zx14 to the michelins and what a difference. Its not a race tire by any means but still quite a difference. I get all my tires from cycle gear on west road and there usaully quick and dont scratch the wheels!

Never had a prob on the legendary 3090 with my powers. However others trying to keep up on their stones have bit it pretty hard

Yep, people bring the tires they buy at cycle gear to him all the time.
