welcome.

600rr or any modern supersport inline 4 are too much bike for a new rider. look at 650s like sv650 or ninja 650r or something. ride that for a while then get your dream bike.
dont forget MSF

that all depends on the rider. you need to sit on them/ride them both.

Its the starbucks on 610 and westhiemer...sweet spot lol. I learned on a 03 CBR 600RR and got comfortable very quick. But i also started out riding in parking lots, then subdivisions, that roads near my house, the freeways, then wheelies, the flying jets lol j/k but just take it slow and the speed will come as you learn how you and your bike are

This place is like crack...i cant get enough of it.

Man, my first street bike was an R1. I grew up riding moto-x and had almost every size there was. I broke plenty of bones so I knew to respect the power of this bike.
Completely different than moto, I took my time, rode with more experienced guys and got better and more comfortable on the bike everytime I rode. Fellow riders, especially my brother (my biggest critic) was impressed how fast I picked up on my bike.
Seeing as you prolly have no exp, and if you want a 600. Take your time and dont pin the throttle coming out of corners, especially low speed 90 degree turns, like under a freeway. Take your time and ride in your comfort zone. Learn and take mental notes on which parts of town have slick pavement, that way you don't take a nasty spill on your new bike. There are rides all the time on here for all exp levels. Good luck and I hope I have given some useful info.

Dont ask me about pp1....lol

go take a look at the rip threads and see who was on what...

google 'starter bike' and read the sticky here... then take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourself what's really a good displacement to start with,.
