write that down

you lost a friend cause he is not going to want to pay to have it fixed... if he had that kind of money, he would have his own bike...

and since he obviously doesn't have his own bike... he was probably trying to show off on it... or just plain being stupid

IF, captilized..., you let someone ride your bike you need to make sure they understand if they break it they buy it.

But beyond that, if someone loses their life while riding YOUR bike; especially with permission and no M class nor insurance/gear etc.... not good for you...

Make sure you trust anyone even so much as sitting on it or riding 2 up.

Only people I let ride my back are the ones who I know have a bike that I would want to ride. I tell them up front. "You wreck mine and I am keeping yours til you get mine fixed". Oh! I just realized I can't let Bubby ride my bike anymore, cuz I wouldn't be caught dead on a Kawi.

I can understand that... but four years ago or so my bike was parking infront of miluna and a friend of mine decided to let his friend ride my bike, impared. (the 600)

Needless to say he hit a curb at 35mph and bent the forks in. I paid for it all because never heard from either of them again.

He may have been hurt, but it was from his own doing. He is still responsible for his actions, which in turn caused the damages to himself and the bike he was riding.

i do not let friends ride mine period. I had one friend ride it before I was on it to make sure there were no problems back when i first got it, but that is it. I figure a off friend is still a friend, but a friend that crashes my bike and can't or won't pay for it is a lost friend there.

I am just like v4lu3s, I will not let anyone ride my bike period. I tell them that I will be the first to put a scratch on it and my bike is like my woman. No one rides her and no swapping cause it isn't that kinda party jumping off. Guess you learned your lesson.
