CB 750 help

Tomorrow I might be adding a bike to my arsenal. I found a good cafe racer project a 93 CB 750 (nighthawk) the only prob is that the owner tellls me it will shut off from time to time and he has to wait like five minutes to restart it and it's fine. Any clue what might be the prob?

Thanks I will look for that when I go see the bike. Guy says the carbs have recently been syncd but needs a tune up. I don't know much about carbd bikes but will learn on this bike I guess.

Doubt it's fuel unless the tank breather is plugged.
Try running it with the tank cap open ( I don't recommend riding it that way, just let it run on the stand and see if it kills.)
If it doesn't kill, trace the vent line back from the tank and check if it's blocked.
I've seen dirt dobbers make a nest in them as well as spiders lay their eggs.

Give me a shout if you need any help, and congrats on the new bike!
