I was in a bike club was in it for like a year and a half and it was fun until it started getting to become to much drama. Every ride was like we meeting at certain spot and riding to the club and it seemed every ride was to the club. So I just decided the with it and decided just to ride with my friends. I don't regret being a part of it cuz I meet some real cool people that I still talk to, don't think I would join another club. Also I hate paying $30 in dues and never see where or what it was invested in maybe some bar tabs lol.

Bike "clubs" are ok. The main thing is just get a small group of people you trust and like and just ride. The positive thing about riding with others is that it gives you an excuse to ride more, where otherwise u might talk yourself out of going riding.
Our VMOA "club" has members worldwide, we pay $25 a year i think but we get massives discounts for parts and we also have a magazine that comes out 3 times a year with stuff that members write in. They also pay for our sponsored ride dinners that we have.

I knew a guy in Biker Boyz(your club judging by your avatar) and it wasn't all that great IMO. He liked it for a while though until he kinda faded from them. If you like it, do your thing man, don't go by what others say about them. I am part of a group here at my school but it's mainly just to pull together people in our sport that go to SHSU, not because we're some kind of biker gang.

huh...i've kinda noticed people like to ride to coffee shops.

i quit smoking weed to have gas money to just ride around...it's more fun, but just as illegal.

I am thinking that u have no idea what u are talking about.
lets see i have just under 50K miles on my v-max 45k in the last 8 years or so, in the middle of that i have put about 25K on my old fz1, about 20K i put on my old busa, and about 10K on my new fz1.
a lot of trips to the coffee shop i guess. seeing the bike you ride, what is a long ride for you? 100 miles?
just wondering
Michael

Back when I was a noob and had noone to ride with I got accepted into a club, it was SUPER lame. Why can't I wear wtf I want when I ride MY BIKE?? I didn't buy a bike to conform to one group, type and style of riding....I bought a bike to ride, to be an individual. Anyway, that's how I look at bike clubs.

Ride for yourself.

IMO i dont think they are as bad as some ppl make them out to be. The only problem you tend to run into is to many young guys out there watch the movie "Biker Boys" and think they know how to run a set. This often leads to drama and making a fool out of yourself. But given the right "know how" and experience i think a "club" could and would be very useful and enjoyable

clubs = SOOO much drama.. first it's "why are you riding with THEM" then it's why don't you ride more with us? then it's wtf are you doing every Tuesday you HAVE to ride with us!

man.. when I was in Dallas there's nothing but retarded morons in the clubs anyway usually all the squids are drawn to that .
