For commute, leisure, track days, racing? How tall is your bro? and it is his first bike?

+1

R6 has a more aggressive ride than 600rr.
Street comfort = 600rr

which years? newer?

the r6(06+) has a more aggressive seating position than the r6s and cbr. the handling is pretty much the same..i like the cbr's handling a little more. The 03-05 r6 and the 07-09 r6s is going to have a slightly faster take off then the 06+ r6. Overall, the cbr and r6 are pretty much not THAT different. It really comes down to which one he finds more visually attractive.

i have experiened riding on a 03 r6, 05 cbr 600rr, 06 and 07 R6, and an 08 cbr. But whats most important, tell em to have fun looking for a bike, and not to settle with anything that he cant live without

seating positions (from most aggressive to least)

2006+ R6>600rr>R6s

my '07 r6 is comfortable as long as you are not trying to feel comfortable. i find it's actually more comfortable in the "racing" position than in the I'm driving in traffic position

I love my 07 RR! It is very comfortable on the track and on longish rides as well as around town. Don't have any info on the R6 as I have never ridden one.

i've had a 600rr and loved the bike.. everything about it. i've also ridden my buddy's 2008 r6 and really like that bike too.. both have awesome power are very responsive both have great handling.. i'm a honda fan so i will say go with the honda.. BUT.. i love the way the newer r6's look as well..

it's a pretty even draw.. i did feel like the honda was alittle more comfortable though.. only by a hair

both bikes are great

I have an 08 RR and ive ridin my buddies 08 r6 for a good bit. Both bikes are pretty much equal, each one has a few things better than the other, I chose the Honda cause I would bet everything I own that Honda will outlast Yamaha, I was going for dependability when I bought mine and I do feel more comfortable on Honda than the way his r6 rode, but different strokes for different fokes, everyone will have their own opinion so its just gonna be up to the buyer to decide.

Any reason he's not looking at the ZX6R or the Gixxer 600 (except that Suzuki is WAY proud of their bikes)?
