which rear stand to get?

I'm trying to buy a rear stand for my bike (05 gsxr-1000) I just need it so i can change my oil and lube my chain not looking for anything fancy just something CHEAP, but I don't want it to break after one use either any suggestions? I've been looking at the e-bay ones they seam to start around 45 just kind of worried about the quality. Thanks in advance.

The problem with cheap stands is not that they break, but that they can flex and drop your bike.
If you buy a PitBull for $130 you can use it for years and then sell it for $100, anything else will be worthless later.
As always you get what you pay for.

PITBULL! Worth every penny! I have the rear and new-front stands. I'd never use anything else. The good thing about the rear is that you can convert it for pads or spindle mount and they're HEAVY DUTY.

redlinestands.com Not as expensive as a pitbull but just as good. Three different types of rear stands to choose from. On the site you can get reviews from motorcycle websites such as r1-forum.com, r6-forum.com, etc.

I remember reading of at least two different manufactors failing.

For me, if it's gonna happen... it's gonna happen to me. So, I spent the extra bux and got PitBull stands. Matter of fact, I've got two sets.

I got both front and rear T-rex stands for about $100 a year ago. They work perfectly on my R6's. I even practice body position while the bike is on them...no worries!

But, I put my buddy's SV650 on them one time. The bike seemed to sitting pretty solid. But when we removed the front wheel from the forks, the bike started to lean. It was weird, the front axle had to be through the spokes for the bike to stay rigid and remain balanced on the front stand. Don't know if other forks would have acted the same way.
