you must see it 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6 - $3700

its on craiglist and well i thought this deal is too good to be true and so i emailed and of course i get a reply. its a different story but have you ever seen this scam before.
EMAIL Below--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
The bike (2007 Yamaha YZF-R6) is in absolutely perfect condition, no scratches, dings, dents or other imperfections. Never accidented, Always garaged. Clear title, no leans. I will accept $3,700 if you buy it now. It has only 1,036 miles, 600 cc, and also 6 months of Yamaha waranty...transferable. The bike will come with the helmet, a pair of gloves and the jacket also.

Firstly, I need to tell you that i am located in Anchorage, Alaska. I sell the bike urgently because my platoon has been sent back to Iraq and don't want it to get old in my garage. The price is low because I need to sell it before Feb 15th...I will take care of all transport arrangements.Usually shipment takes maximum 3 to 5 days depending on your location and will be fully insured against damages, shipped in a crated container.....on my cost!!
I am a member of the eBay buyer protection program and using this service you will get a 5 days testing period after delivery. During that 5 days testing period I will not be getting any money.
If you agree with my above terms, I'm sure that we can close the deal as soon as possible.
I have reserved the bike for you until I will have your final answer.

i agree. scam. if the dude is shipping to you in a container from alaska... sheesh. that should send up some kind of signal in contrast to the crazy low price for an 07 bike.

ya, if they tell a story in the for sale description, it's a scam.
i seen a 2007 gsxr 1000 in perfect condition, 2500 miles, for $3000, selling in divorce settlement. Yadadadada. Bike was in mississippi, even though they showed up on houston's crigslist. Anyways, they said the process is easy. Just send cash to a p.o. box in Indiana, and whallah, you'll get a bike shipped in a crate for free.

and just FYI, i spent $500 shipping a moose head from Fairbanks to Houston. Can't imagine shipping a bike!

When I was looking for a bike about 4 months ago I found 6 or 8 scams on CL.

Funny thing is, all the scams involved either an R6 or an R1.

Many have seen this scam. The type of scam doesn't change, just the location and the person foolish enough to fall for it does.
