I wore an XL Fieldsheer jacket and a Large Scorpion helmet. Poor mans gear lol.

I'd be more than willing to buy some if anyone has gear they don't need, but I'm sure I could just make a thread for it.

Also, I'm not sure which part of town it was recovered in, but if they used a tow company way up in NW Houston then I'd imagine somewhere in that area.

Man you guys are too generous lol. I have a truck but no trailer at the moment. I think I can just throw it in my truck since it's already ****ed on the right side anyways... but a trailer would be an improvement I think.

I've got straps and such, btw.

LOL yeah... I used to be 155lbs in high school, then I was a cut and lean 185lbs in college, and now I work in the IT industry so I'm up to 235lbs :(

Although, with my bike back I may be more inspired to hit the gym. Easiest way to lighten up your bike is to lose some ****ing weight!

LOL, yeah definitely not mine, since the first thing I did was delete that ugly as sin tail and put on some amber LED's and a little plate mount.

Also,

UPDATE: The cops just called me to confirm the value of my bike. Apparently, the original officer who took the report valued it at $1000, which is totally wrong! If it's less than $1500 then it's just a class A misdemeanor or some such junk. I told them it was worth $6500 when it was stolen, so he's going to get charged with a State Felony! Woooo!

I hope he has a record and they give him the full 4 year sentence + 20k fines. That would be just fine with me.

Congrats! Consider this a new beginning, may be a little slow starting out again but you'll get there. Some folks never get their bikes back.
Good luck!

I know really... I only had the bike since late 2006 so with no riding for 8 months, I feel like I will be horrible at first.

I hope the thief replaced my rear tire, I just remembered I'm going to have to replace it since it has a nail lol.

I work for a Private University and I have 4 student workers under me who do my bidding. Their language rubs off on me a lot, since they sit outside my office on the computers and talk endlessly, and I take them out for lunch/dinner occasionally.

I pick up all sorts of retro language and slang from them, like saying a girl is "boppin" or that something is "rad". I know it's sad, but I live with it.

I doubt they recovered the ****ing screws or anything I'll need to put the plastics back on... I won't even know where to start with that other than finding something that threads at home depot or calling a Kawi dealer.

Any suggestions?

No man. I told everyone after it was stolen, they will NEVER sell off the parts to it. It's not a gixxer, there's not a market for it like their is for the average litre bikes etc...

And look what happened, they got the plastics off, realized it wasn't a 636 or ZX10R and that nobody wanted what they were selling, then left it to sit for 8 months.

They were so dumb, they didn't make a PENNY off of the bike. They instead got jailtime and didn't even manage to sell a single thing from it. Their stupidity almost makes it more insulting, because I went through all of this and it was for nothing for either party.

They would have saved money if they just walked up to my bike and hit it with a bat a couple of times and went home, since they will be facing a 10k fine and jailtime over it.

Good decision thief!
