I dunno.

If it was your bike you wouldn't be cutting the dude any slack.

it's somebody's bike. (If it is stolen anyway, who knows)

dude, the guy left his fiance because of it. could you turn your gf/wife/fiance into the police for buying a stolen bike, whether you approve of it or not?? it's not as simple as you'd think.

Not harsh at all. If the guy wants to do the right thing a clear his name then he should have called the police and reported the bike stolen instead of being a puss and just tearing it apart.

Why would you take the vin off if your bike is legit?

i dont know any of them or really anyone on here period, so im not taking sides, just callin it as i see it, he found out after the fact, and seemed to be outspoken about being ANTI-stolen bike, so even if it was my bike i wouldnt realistically expect him to call the cops on his fiance after he found out it was stolen, and then if he waited til the relationship was over and would've called the cops then he did it out of spite and it wouldnt have been to "do the right thing" so he just took it apart so she wouldnt ride around and get busted with it, i think he did what he felt was the most he could do WITHOUT involving police, you say "what if it was your bike?" i say what if it was your fiance with the stolen bike?

at the end of the day they were both wrong, but i dont think he should get the same treatment as her if it is indeed HOT

OMFG Even if it was stolen, I could think of hundreds of ways to make it unrideable without spreading it out on the living room floor.
