Rim stripe color....

I photoshopped 2 colors of rim stripe for my bike....what color do you guys think flows more???

Red 1/8" rim stripe
LCRonred

White 1/8" rim stripe
LCRonwhite

Keep it black
LCRon

i'm leaning more toward the white

White pops much more. Red fades into the wheel. Nothing looks good, too, though. I chose white. Photoshop helped!

I think the red works well with the paint scheme, since red is more of an accent color on the bike.

The white pops out more, but that's actually the problem. It pulls attention away from the bike, and sticks out a bit too much. Whereas the red blends in quite well, and compliments the bike.

you can always take some aircraft remover to those nicely painted wheels. Dont sand for the aluminium to be polished, sand if you want a duller look.

these are sanded lips...

You can see that with her bike, the white stripe works very well with the scheme of the bike. The "HONDA" accents in red also mesh with the bike's color scheme, where the red is a secondary accent.

You need to look beyond just the wheel when deciding on what works best with the overall scheme. There are basic principles in design, but then again... design is a very subjective matter.
