Dealer Rant!!!I got molested in the rear!!

My hands are shaking I'm so mad! Yesterday I called this dealer and spoke to the sales manager. We will call him Jason. We agreed on a price for a 08 Busa. He asked If I wanted to put a deposit down. I told him no. I said if it was in the condition he stated it was a deal. I told him that first thing this A.M. I would contact the bank and have everything set up and ready to go. I called the bank and they said they were on stand by for the purchase order. I called the dealer and gave them the fax # and asked for the V.I.N. for the purpose of getting insurance. I called SF and set up the ins. The dealer called back and said they had sent the PO to my bank. I left work early to go pick up the bike. I pulled up and I was checking the bike out waiting for the sales guy to come out. A guy comes out with the keys and I'm ready to hear the Two Bros. pipes. I tell him to start it up! There is another guy taking a cell phone pick and I was wondering what was up. He tells me (in a very happy tone) that he just bought it. You can imagine my feelings at that time. I told him he couldn't have because I was buying it. I expressed my anger to the sales manager. I left and tried to compose myself. I called the dealership and asked to the store manager. He said thats how it goes in this business. I told him I would be on this forum venting my anger. He is now looking for a bike to relieve my serious case of the red . I should hear in the A.M about another one he found at another lot. I will keep those interested folks out there informed of my progress with this issue. I will not disclose the name of the dealer at this time. I told the Manager he has a chance to make this situation right and he seems sincere in his attempts.

Any spelling or grammar mistakes had better be over looked.

i'm with you man, that definately sucks , but being in that business before i will admit it is part of the business. i've seen cars sold while the previous potential buyer was going to the bank to get cash money.

Thats what happens when you try to do business over the phone . If you were ready to buy you should have went there in person . I'm sure they have been asked to hold onto a tload of bikes over the years & i'm sure there were alot of no shows . In your case you were seriuos and ready to buy , but someone beat you to it .

since he stated he had the work order sent to the bank for approval don't you think he had every intention of buying the bike???

if i was the salesman at that point i would of had a sold tag on it

+1

Really sorry they sold it before you were able to buy it but the salesman did give you the option to leave a deposit. Personally I wouldn't hold anything I'm selling for someone without some type of guarantee they will purchase.

very true but again, if the bank says we are just waiting on the purchase order on a deal you were working the deal and got them the purchase order and then all of a sudden another guy sold the vehicle out from under you after the bank ok's the purchase wouldn't you be off right along with the customer? But again i understand what you mean by a deposit...
