they are stiff

Since I got my A* gloves for the track back in November, I have pretty much been using them exclusively on the bike because they are more comfortable and offer more protection. This means I rarely use my other pair of shift gloves on the street. In the last 2 months they have gotten quite hard and not very comfortable to wear.

Are there any preferred methods of softening these gloves up again?

I have a friend that complained about the same. He just decided to get new gloves.

If they're leather, try baseball glove conditioner. I've used it before on leather work gloves, and it worked great!

Put your gloves on your hands and pour leather conditioner in the palm of a glove. Rub your hands together like you are putting on lotion.

I have a new leather Alpinestars jacket, that is sort of stiff/tight...what can I do to soften or loosen it up?

Will saddle soap discolor the orange or black?

when i had a Vansons (much heavier leather then big name brand jackets) i was told to put it in a drier w/ a pair of shoes, TURN THE HEAT OFF, and let it run a bit. works great!

My leather alpine* gloves did that. I'd go to put them on after a couple days of not riding and they'd be tight and stiff. By the end of my day of riding they'd be comfortable and proper fitting again. Although if I would have used some leather conditioner they might have actually lasted longer than they did
