we do not require every novice rider to attend the class room sessions, instructors are dedicated to the students who opt to attend the class; but we are also available to help out anyone who either ask' or anyone who we deem necessary.

We do have extra instructors who we refer to as "control riders" these riders/instructors aren't committed to any one person, that rider is free and encouraged to find those who may need or want help working on something as well as policing the on track action at all times.

I'm just quoting Godzuki... your BFF. Ba ha ha ha. He said you were running 1:50 at TWS (Texas World Speedway). Woo hoo!

No disrespect to you Brena, just giving Godzuki a hard time. He was talking you up good during the last TWS (Texas World Speedway) event. It's all in fun.

Ha ha ha. No, actually he said 1:50 .... five zero... to which I responded that I'd bet a grand that you couldn't beat me around the track that day. There were a few people around that heard him.

Don't take it personally. I'm just poking him in the ribs.

yes I am including a few pms telling me how I can't run 1:50 which I am fully aware of. I don't care who said what I know I can't run that and not even pretending I can.

An LSTD Friday has no traditional groups, the "street group" is for the fast "B" or "A" group rider. Most of the time, we get more "B" group riders than "A" group riders because most of our "A" group riders are racers and they practice with the expert or novice groups.

My second time at TWS (Texas World Speedway) on the bike, I had already been there many times the past decade in my car so I understood the line, wasn't bothered by speed - but I still haven't gotten any confidence with braking.

In the S2000, my best has been 2:02.5. On the bike, using a transponder, my best have been 2:08.5. I was in the advanced group because I was taking Ty's Level 3 class. Straights, mid-corner and corner exits weren't a problem. Under braking through, I had a few close calls from people behind me that I assume thought I would be braking a lot later than I really did.

I believe that even if I don't improve anything else, I can easily cut eight seconds off my time if I just could get my braking up to par with the rest of my riding, in which case I could safely fit in with the advanced group and start learning from the faster guys, and working on exploring what the bike and tires can really do below two minutes.

So I voted for 1:55-2:00 based on my experience.

2:02 in a S2000 street car is a kick time. Best I had in the 993 which was about 2,900 lbs and 282 hp was right there at 2:02 - 2:03. And, I was running Kuhmo dot race tires.

My car was wearing Kumho Victoracers those laps.
What year 993? I'd love to have a '98 C2S except they're so expensive these days.
