layers.

i bought some snow-boarding pants from sports authority. they work excellent.

wearing 2 hoodies & a cycle jacket is kinda a PITA...

i've even layered my gloves...cloth, latex, then the leather...

Yeah, the 5am ride sucks, but it will pay off at 4.

It just sucks that I have to wear a backpack FULL of all the layers I wore in.

My ride in is early enough that there is no traffic. Therefore, it is only 30-35 min. The ride home is 45 min-an hour.

With the RIGHT gear (which I dont have), I have ridden in snow. You have to suck it up if you want to ride more than 4 months in NY.

i ride with just my polo shirt and my breathable jacket and gloves...its not that bad at all, somtime the fingers hurt a bit but not much. the worst was when it was 40 degrees, my fingers went numb for a bit. you should try going wade fishing in chest deep water in galveston with this cold weather, its good

??? I've been riding all week??? Layers are important. Wear your work clothes, a hoodie, and your leather jacket w/liner if it comes with one. Gloves are really important since the aplinestars thinsulate work fine for 30-40 min rides to keep them somewhat defrosted.

It's not that bad if you layer up and wear the proper gear you should anyway (ie riding pants as well!)

last week on the coldest morning i was passed at 454am by a houston police officer on a motorcycle, he was doing 90-100 down 45 and onto hard toll road. apparently he either had no feeling to start with or has great warm riding gear.

those cruisers have heated seats and hand grips. plus the big windshield blocks all the wind from their face and hands

today i decided to wear my windbreaker under the leather perforated jacket. it worked great..now when i get to work, i just take of my leather jacket and im good with my windbreaker for the rest of the day
