how are Kawi 750's?

Any thoughts or opinions on the Kawasaki 750's? They seem like a step down from the Z1000's. Looking for a bike for a friend and came across this:

well this is the exact bike i owned so I guess i'm a good source of info.

i sold mine for 3k with 9k miles on it in 05 it was an 01

i had the faired version the zr-7s though.

regardless it's a great bike lots of power and fun to ride i never had a problem with it.

the faired version is much cooler looking though

how are Kawi 750's?

so in other words.

thats a great price for a great bike.. that can keep up with pretty much anything you want to.

its not too bad this was my 2nd overall bike ever.

and my first was a 1963 honda CB350 so it didnt go over 55mph really unless it was running really well. which it never did.

so this was more or less my first bike.

its fast enough to scare you for sure! but it's not a bike that is too powerful to control

it has 75hp if that helps

SV would be the better choice... that 750 thing would not make a good track bike

i had one of those. good power on the engine but the carburators suck

they always make your bike vibrate a lot and need to be syncronized too often

i sold it after i wrecked it lol

if you dont miund that then is a good bike tho

I had a 750 for a while, rode it quite a bit, it had good power was a great ride, and I never really had any of the vibration issues, but the seat is really bad for a standard.

they are heavy (they really feel it as well), the carbs suck, but might make a good commuter bike. I felt like handling was also very sluggish.

that SV seems a little expensive, but all those are good bikes. Have owned an SV and a 500, both well-rounded bikes. And you can keep up with anything in the twisties on both of those as well.
