probs with my 50

its a 82 z 50 and it just started doing this a few weeks ago at the gold course..after i ride for a few mins it will start to cut out at wide open throttle and i cant seem to find the problem. its starting to drive me up the wall. seems like something is getting hot. starting to think its spark but the coil is fairly new. any ideas would be help full. Thanks

theres not much of wiring on that thing, replace thespark plug even if it looks like you have good spark it might need replaced. clayton and i looked for hours and we found out it was the spark plug was fouled(and it still gave out a spark)

new plug already..it runs fine till i ride for a few mins then at wide open throttle it starts to cut out reall bad like somthing is getting hot and cutting spark on and off

Check all your wire's. I was ridding and had the same problem, it ended up being a loose wire going to the CDI/rev box.

sounds like the internal fuel screen is clogged in the gas tank. pull the hose off the carb and check the flow.

it's prob. just the throddle position sensor or you starter relay..haha

kris your a ***..it flows pretty good...this is sad i work at yamaha and cant even fix my own ..anybody have a solinoid i can put on and see if thats what the prob is or have a spare one they want to sell. i went over everything this morning and the harness and the wires are fine.
