As far as competing freestyle, any bike has the potential to win 1st, just depends who's on it. I've seen guys in the past yr killing it on old 98 Honda F3's.

To compete in a stoppie comp on an F4i and place is still possible, not quite as easy though, lol.

so why do you prefer to stoppie your new r6 instead of your f4i stuntbike?

hahaha does that mean all 636 owners have had issues before gettin the bike??

j/k .. i'd actually like to ride one, i've never had the chance to throw a leg over one so i can't say anything negative about those bikes.. But like the 600rr's they have the undertail exhaust.. wouldn't you worry about that gettin F**ed up if you scrape it goin backwards alittle to far (intentionally or not)?
Then you have to fix your exhaust and the tail.. i suppose some kind of 12 bar would fix that problem though

isn't that something yall have to deal with when you don't have or use the 12 bars?

Cause I took the damper off the F4i.

When I borrowed Big Scotts damper awhile back and put it on, it felt pretty good to roll. But it does have that pogo feeling if you run stock springs without thicker oil, which I don't like. Gonna try the thicker oil in it this yr though just for the of it.

No not really, but the stock forks are garbage for stoppies. I've heard if you just put thicker oil in them that it helps alot, if you don't feel like changes the springs.

well with new technology comes better benefits i can see that just wondering why they all said that. I can see reasons like, they are lighter, come with better brakes etc

as matt said im sure its possible to win a freestyle comp on an older bike its just going to be harder. Its like trying to win a race on a 1998 designed car motor as opposed to a 2009 designed motor, im just wonder what makes the newer bikes better
