A little update:

We took off some parts, plastics, gas tank, throttle, rear brake lever, right and left engine cover, etc.

Got to the point where you need to use a philps head screw driver to take out three screws on the clutch assembly. And they won't come out.

We need to order the clutch nut tool anyways, so we're gonna pick up an impact driver to knock these things out, (thanks chad).

Today, I think we are going to take off the top end and start cracking away on that.

Maybe, we should take pictures....

Clutch nut tool is in...

but we incurred another issue, the head bolt is stripped and you can't fit a socket around it, due that its so close to the head....

Quick question for those who are running the 88cc kit, you keep the stock exhaust?

And what jet did you end up using on the carb?

Got the piston, clutch, and high volume pump in. And the new cylinder....

We just need to button her all up, but the new carb on and we should be good to go.

I used the stock exhaust for a while, it's not bad. Eventually installed an FMF Power Core IV Exhaust. The FMF added a lot of torque. The front wheel would actually come a little going into 3rd gear - and that was with taller gearing!

Carb was a VM26 with the needle all the way lean and the air screw backed out quite a bit. The top end was pretty high with that setup. I'm guessing around 73-75mph with +1/-2 gearing and 12" wheels.

No. Here's the full setup for the engine:
TB Race Head & Piston
TB Crank
TB CDI Box
FMF Power Core IV Exhaust
Kitaco Coil
Mikuni VM26 Carb
Oil Cooler

Jcat's right. The stoker crank raises displacement to 108cc. You should still be able to hit at least 45mph with the 88cc kit though. The stock 70 will do 42mph.
