doesn't slip...but doesnt come up, well i take that back...it came up once before in 2nd gear...going about 15mph at 11kRPM, i felt the front end come up...that was it nothing more then a few inches though

hahah im no racer, but stay away from aluminum


Like bdubb said Afam, Driven, and Renthal, are great, proven brands.

with a high quality chain, (with lube )

and you're good to go.


520 chain, IMO, is point less, unless you really know what you are doing. maybe these racers like carbon james, or jody, could give you better info then I

same thing i said, took it to eximport they said everything was fine with the engine...(but thats another topic )

Just a thinner chain. Less rotating mass, but in minimal difference and you lose some life/strength from it.

RK Gold 520 Chain
Afam front
Driven rear

Would be one suggestion.... Not really needed, but I'm also not one to talk abou that either.

no, not really, just inquiring more info. i've read people suggest to others to switch to a "520 conversion" but have never known what it meant. my chain and sprocket are good still but i'll be replacing them later this year.

It's a smaller chain and sprockets to help reduce weight. I don't think it's worth it unless you are a serious racer and are looking to drop thousandths of seconds off lap times.
