I started out with an HJC that I loved. Bought a Sparx and hated it the first couple of times I rode it. There was ALOT of noise. Finally popped off the visor vents and taped them up and this took care of about 60% of the noise. It's very light, actually lighter but with a larger diameter than my HJC, and this causes the wind to blow it around quite a bit. More so because I don't have a windscreen on my cruiser, though. Vito8989 has one also and has never had a complaint, but he has a sport bike (with a windscreen of course).

The padding around the neck is quite thick and the opening a bit too narrow, hard to get any accessories like earplugs, neckguards and balaclavas on without knocking them off. The interior is quite roomy though and has more than enough room to install internal headphones.

The stap with the buckle is too short and you'll find yourself wrestling with it to get it looped and tucked. The final snap is way too high and you'll have to dig way in and yank on it just to get that final snap on the end of the neck strap.

The smoke visor has a hazy look through it (compared to my HJC) and everytime I ride it, it takes about 10 mins to get used to it. The lift tab for the visor is too far to the left and it only causes the visor to twist when trying to lift it, and you finally have to use both hands to get the right side visor to correctly open too. The visor replacement machanism is a serious pain in the . Once or twice that I've swapped the visor I've had one side pop off when I try to raise it at a red light or a quick stop to say something to fellow riders (not a mechanism failure, just that I didn't snap it in right).

The top vents do not close and if you commute or ride to work/school after a shower (as I do), this sucks if your hair is still wet.

I really liked my Sparx graphics and decided to keep it. But by now it's broken in and I have minor workarounds for these little problems and I'm happy with it now. I'll only wear my HJC if my girl rides with me, she seems to love the Sparx for some reason... Hope this helps.

They are ok, pretty light, but mine seems to fold my right ear whenever I wear it. Yea there is a lot of wind noise and the fitment is odd because there is a lot of padding by the cheek but not so much on the crown. If you wear a medium helmet I'll you test mine out.

Oh yeah, free crash replacement with a police report and you return the old one. Not a bad deal.
