There can be a lot of EMS companies operating in the same area... 911 service may be a little backwards sometimes, but its still your best bet

Agreed.
911 or the direct line to area Sherrif or call them both The more info the better

Sometimes, in BFE, 911 will default your call to the wrong county. Good idea to know the road you're on and the nearest intersection and the county you're in. Otherwise there will be some transferred calls.

Choosing who we ride with can be as important as choosing your bike, safety equipment and where to ride. All of these are life and death choices!

Seriously, that's the best attitude you can have IMHO. You know, I have never had a problem with the 911 service... I can understand being out in rural areas, and not to say there aren't dumbass operators, but around this side of town I haven't had an issue

NEVER use traction on a spinal cord injury. IMMOBILIZE only. dont try to remove their helmet and dont let them do it.

i imagine yall know what your saying and it's just the wrong words coming out. not trying to knock yall.

Yes, Airway,Breathing, Circulation. dont allow the Pt. to move. hold their head as well inline wih the body as possible. If they are at a funny angle, DO NOTMOVE THEM, unless they are NOT breathing. make sure help is o the way.

My prayers go out to the injured.

BLASTING the one who yall feel was wrong is understandable, but dont traumatize the guy. I think he gts the point now!! just use it as a learning tool.

Not all areas have 911 service (its not federally mandated), so the call may be routed to the nearest 911 call center. Like I mentioned in a previous post, there are idiot operators though

OK. I've accomplished what I wanted. People read this and thought about it. Sorry that Evo took the brunt of the abuse. The main things to think about were.........................

1. Rider down and not getting up.
2. Rider hit pole with body.
3. Obvious damage to helmet.
4. Rider complains of back pain.
5. Rider complains of neck pain.
6. 15 minutes and rider still down.
7. 30 minutes and rider still down.

HOW MANY REASONS DO YOU NEED TO CALL AN AMBULANCE ??????????

Mods please lock this thread now.
