the reason i suggest checking all numbers....a friend of my cousin purchased a kawasaki something there. It was made of ninja parts, from at least 3 different models of Kawi.

My experience with them is they tried to sell me a 05CBR for more than what I paid for my 06 Ducati LOL. They also charge me 6 bucks per screw that I lose on my Ducati which I have to buy since I don't want any body panels to fall off while I wait for them off ebay. But you also have to look at that they are a huge store in a prime location and have a lot of overhead. If youre trying to compare them to a price you pay from a desperate guy on craigslist youre going to have a huge disparity.

Another complaint I can echo a sentiment on is them ignoring you when you walk in. Its always strange when you see that because the sales guys are hanging around doing nothing and last time I heard they work on commission.

I imagine they get alot of people coming in just to look. So unless someone looks like they know what they are doing or wanting to purchase, they wont want to waste time on a browser.

What exactly does a person look like that knows what they are doing or wanting to purchase? I hope you are not in sales because you would not much of anything. The whole point of a sales man is to ask questions to qualify their intentions are as well as to convince them to purchase or help them make that decision for them. If they took the time to drive there chances are they are interested in a purchase unless they walk straight over to the Desmocedichi and start posing for pictures.

my first time in, when i was in the market for a new 250, was gay

i walked in asked a guy if they sold 250s, the said no then walked away, then i said what about ninja 500s? and he sold not them either and kept walking...

so i went to mancuso and got a ninja 250 from Al, pretty cool guy...

Im not in sales. Any I have had friends come to our sales people and receive horrible, inappropriate comments that they had no business making. If people dont look like they are capable of purchasing, often times they aren't even approached. But salesmen do that from time to time. Not saying all of them do.

As mentioned previously in other posts, the salesmen were trying to make sales that were inappropriate for the potential customers. Most people buying their first bike have no clue what they should really be getting or even why.

That's the difference between making a sale or making a repeat customer.

i got ignored when i went in but when i got someone's attention and asked questions we had a pretty good convo he seemed to know his stuff front and back, then 20min later we got around to talking prices on the bikes i had been asking about....and thats when he lost me cant remember the miles but the main one i remember was a '01 gsxr 600 for 8000, but let him tell it it was in PRISTINE condition, nevermind the miles on it i asked about a few other bikes and they all seemed pretty steep to me so i just shook his hand, said thanks for your time and left. The funny thing is that after that i told a friend i went a few places looking at bikes. He interrupts i said i just came from there but wont soon be going back. Someone had told me before not to go b/c they are higher than giraffe p*ssy, but i went to form my own opinion

i did go back and buy a toe guard tho

They wanted to sell me an '07 cbr600rr last year for $10,000.. it had like 3k on the odometer and it had an exhaust. I laughed in the guys face, turned around and left. Never looked at anything about them since.

i went in there once to look at some boots, figured it couldn't hurt since i was already at cycle gear and it was right next door. so i saw some sidis and i asked the salesperson there how much they were. i already knew how much they were, but i wanted to make sure / test them.....dude said he didn't know, and when i asked if he could find out for me he said 'probably not'

i went there last week to look at gear and i checked out the bikes they had.
they have some really nice used bikes, but im sure the price is high.

why dont they put prices on the bikes? it would scare off customers. if they had better prices they would probably get more business. the older used bikes did look pretty nice though, so they might be doing work on these things, new parts, a lot of elbow grease and knuckles maybe. there was a mid 90's zx9 hat looked new.
