track bike build?

Decided to sell the rims and tires off my truck and use the money to set my bike up for track. I should bring in around 4 grand for the wheels so I need to keep the build cost under that amount. This is what I have so far. 08 cbr 600, race tube intake, K&N filter, two Bros racing exhaust, pc III, brembo rcs19, galfer sbk lines, galfer HH pads, woodcraft engine covers left and right, crg levers, and about to get supersprox titainium sprocket set and rk chain. So what else would really make a difference with the bike at the track? I'm wanting new wheels but not sure if I want magnesium or CF

Not sure what a Race intake is... but you forgot something rather crucial. Iwill let you think about it for a minute.

Either one is good. I like the gold stuff but never had a problem with the Penske so...

Racetech the front and get a damper before any exhaust/pc3 types mods.

1)suspension and dampner
2)brake lines and upgraded pads (For me Vesrahs>EBC but that's just me)
3)A few sprockets
4)Body work(good not cheap stuff)
5)a couple of sets of tires
6)Extra set of wheels

Normally factory stuff isn't nearly as good as the after market equivalent.

I've had a few Scotts and loved them.

also frame sliders are good Spares stock or after market clipons and rearsets can always come in handy.

Just keep an eye on the Wera and CMRA boards for deals as they come up frequently.

Nice threadjack attempt

To hit a couple high points:

Your stock damper is pretty good and I wouldn't mess with it. I've got some friends that race those bikes and the 1000RR with the same damper that said it functions well. Don't replace it unless you're having an issue. I heard there are some issues with the electronics if you remove it too...

Suspension is subjective, and I'd go with whomever you trust for their opinion. Patrick is a vendor for Race Tech and can also get your Ohlins, Penske or whomever you like for shocks. He'll get a baseline from you for your height/ weight and riding style, and build your suspension based off that.

I wouldn't spend any more money than it takes to get suspension, brakes, and tires done. You've got a great platform with that 600RR.

Save your money for track days and your eventual desire to race... with which you'll need lots of money for!

Brakes too.

If you've got $4k to play with, you'll spend a big chunk on suspension (depends on what you get). If you go with Ohlins or Penske shocks, that's ~$1k right there, front end rebuild ~$500 or so, stainless lines and good pads like Vesrah or EBC another ~$200 (or a bit less). If you get a slip-on (if you don't already), that's ~$500.

Tires ~$300...

Don't buy the PCIII or other blingy things like that IMHO.
