Ins question

Just called State Farm and left message for Candy's group. I have to pickup bike on sunday and ride it back. Found out the other guy has lapsed insurance, and my coverage isn't on it yet, since my bike is out of comission.

If I ride it back from San Anton on sunday, and get insurance when the office opens on tuesday should I be ok? The guy didn't get me the VIN tonight and by the time I called they were closed. Does State Farm do policies on saturday or sunday if I call?

I have my M endorsement, and always ride insured, but riding his bike back without even permissive coverage yet really bothers me.

Please educate me on this or let me know if State farm will start a policy on saturday or sunday. :-)

Call the office. You will get forwarded to the 24 hour service. I think they can start a policy for you 24/7 but I could be wrong. One thing I can say I do like about Progressive is I can go online and do everything, even print out my ins card anywhere I have internet anytime within minutes.

perfect I'll do the progresseive, only $500 for the entire year! Kickbutt! I can do it online instantly, so I'll probably do it that way. You know my ninja 250 was $1200 a year, and progressive quoted me $506 for a year for a ex500.00

SF is likely to be cheaper than them, but SF is very picky about who they insure.

I was paying less with SF than with Ball. But Ball does have very competitive prices.

Not always. There are many factors. When I received my quote it was much higher than anywhere else

Guess it just depends. I was paying $83/month for full coverage (lia/coll/comp/unins/pip/rental/towing)

I pay more than that now for (lia & comp)

Thanks for calling, and sorry u missed us during normal business hours. Our afterhours service does not insure bikes, only agents can do this, because the bikes have to be inspected for any prior damage/existance prior to us binding coverage.

If you currently have a policy on ur existing bike, ANY bike purchased is automatically covered under that policy for the 1st 30 days, so you can wait until Tuesday.

I'm leaving for DC on Monday (the office is back open on tuesday), so I intended on running errands all weekend; HOWEVER, if you give me a call on the office cell 281-467-3340, I'll make some time to come into the office later today or sunday, to get u on ur way. I will need that vin number though as well as the name of the person who referred u to me, they deserve a $10 Gas Card!

Thanks again!

And FTR, u'll NEVER get that kinda personal service from ANY other company that was posted up there! That's why SF and it's agents rock!!!!

No offense Candy as it's wasn't your SF office, but it was a SF office. None of the above mentioned companies ever listed an accident incorrectly on my driving record jacking up my rates and took me months to get corrected.

Kudos to you for helping this guy out on the weekend. Shows true customer service.
