where is crankshaft position sensor

i got engine in and everything connected and went to start it for the first time. i got the Fi light on a code 12 the Crankshaft position sensor. any help about where its at.

If I had to guess, if you are on the bike, it would be on the right side of the crank.

Search for and download the factory shop manual (not the owner's manual or Chilton guide). It has details on all the parts for your bike.

You can get it off Gixxer.com (or so I've been told )

found it and changed from the one that was on my old engine and started right on up. didnt let it run to long. didnt want to wake the neighbors in my apartments. THE GSXR LIVES TO RIDE ANOTHER DAY
