the new 09' daytona. there are a few 09's that are the same as mine just an 09' vin. but the new body and motor and taller first gear. read about it. let me know. i'm in real tight with the dealer. lmk.

you rode it home... it cant be that bad. Insurance and labor quotes can get malodramatic quickly.

likely some plastics, tank etc... buy it back from the insurance company and piece it together.


as for the duc vs R6; populous has already spoken. If you're comfortable with the four cylinder, a twin will make you hate riding. And unless you have reason to use the bike for its intended purposes of hard cornering, it would be a waste of money IMO.

nothing says poser more then a ducati with two inch chicken strips.

It was mostly comestic. Took it to Patrick and was totaled out. He said this was his first 3 page insurance estimate.

None of my bikes had 2in. chicken strips. Maybe half an inch at the most.

Some very good advice. Typical Cali insight!

I was also gonna suggest buying it back from the insurance (and selling it to me!).
