I don't have one so I can't comment on the quality or comfort...I have a Scoprion EXO700 and would recommend it tho

What size are you?

how much are you looking to spend? and have you tried on different lids? make sure you do so before buying online so you're absolutely sure you buy a lid that fits and not one that should fit

if you want new and cheap check out newneough.com or sportbiketrackgear.com

edit: what did you get....post up pics

My first helmet was a KBC. The way I remeber the helmet is: Quiet, snnugy in the inside and heavy.
I was wearing that helmet when I crashed and it held pretty well. I think it is a good choice for a first helmet.
If you have a little more cash, consider a Shoei, you will spend more doe but what the you only have one head, right?

For an idea on a less expensive helmet, I saw the Icon Domain up at Cycle Gear today for $300. It was the really cool one with the flames. The padding inside it is actually very nice. Also, they have the Seven-Zero-Sevens (made by HJC) for WAY off retail. Neodamonkey has one and seems to like it and they are nice looking helmets. They seem to be better built than HJC. I think some of the Scorpions are a little cheaper also. Whatever you do, buy the absolute best helmet that you can afford! You can upgrade other things later, but a helmet can be an expensive investment. You should also look at Shoei. The RF1000 in solid colors runs in the low $300 range, and the TZ-R is a little cheaper than that. The biggest thing to remember is to call an MH sponsor to get pricing (MH members get discount prices through sponsors). DON'T go to a boutique store and pay retail! Try Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited. He has quoted me some good prices! If someone tells you that they can't work with you on the price, go somewhere else. There are plenty of places that will. If you're into mail order, you can also try the closeout sections at www.denniskirk.com and www.newenough.com. The biggest thing to remember is that if you skimp on gear, you really don't save anything because later you'll buy better gear and lose money on the original gear. Try not to buy gear twice. It gets expensive.... ask me how I know.

I currently have a KBC VR2, and the only complaints I have are its a little heavy but tolerable and somewhat noisy. Other than that I really like it.

My 2 cents. I was very familiar with the old VR1. It fit, it was comfortable, it was reasonable priced and I had sold a number of them. I bought a KBC Vision online as an upgrade. It was their top of the line street helmet. Unfortunately it had the same interior as the Racer 1. It and the Racer 1 were the most uncomfortable helmets I've ever worn or tried on. The helmet always roared when I turned my head 45 degrees to the wind. I won't buy KBC anymore.

My recommendation. Be careful buying online. Fit and comfort is more important than looks. Don't buy used. You do not know where the helmets been. If someone offers a helmet with a bike. Buy your own.

Stay away from the KBC. If you were looking at that brand due to the relative low expense I would STRONGLY suggest getting a Scorpion. They are SNELL approved, price is right, fit is good, comfort is there, etc.
