Pictures of my Gixxer pre-construction

It's official, the bones have mended, the plates have sealed and the parts are in.

First off, thanks to everyone for putting up with myself while I suffered from mild cripple-epsy after my accident, and thanks to Patrick for helping me get the things I needed to put the purple people eater back on the road. Not only was his pricing great but he makes me feel like my business is appreciated, My only complaint is he's 45 minutes away. I will say however, it's always been worth the drive.

Secondly, Here are some pictures of my bike as is, For some reason it looks blue but I promise if you saw it in person it would in fact, be purple. Not that I'm a fan of purple... just telling it like it is.

HOWEVER I want to repaint this thing and if i can get a good deal on a set of plastics I will, right now all the plastics are fine except for the left side which rubbed through (no cracks just holes) in a couple of spots where she slid down the road. I'm really thinking about doing a glossy black with a Chameleon style Red to Gold something or other on there. dunno yet but thinkign a pheonix. Bah, who knows, I'm just looking to make it unique.. maybe even.... LE hahah

Anyways here it is. And yes, that is a ressurected stator cover, and yes, I did use Belzona as a sealant and yes I am going to spray paint it black.. why? Because no one will ever notice when I'm done, and it will work just the same.

I think the only problems I have left are in my head.. the doc says I'm fine I'm just hesitant because I know I haven't lifted or exerted that arm in over three months and I need to be slow going back at it. The Plate isn't a constant pain but I wake up sore and stiff in the mornings and every once in a while I think I can feel a screw inside the bone, hard to describe, best left at "odd".

I'm really feeling great though, I want to get back into the gym but the doctor said to wait another month or two before any really strenuous lifting so for now I'll take it easy. In the mean time I'm ready to get the bike started again, really that would make me feel 100%, just to hear it fire up. I still have a thing or two left that I need to buy though, I'll see if Patrick has them when I go to pick up my barbarian Bar Ends =)

AS SOON AS THE BIKE IS UP I WANNA GO FOR A RIDE!!!

But I don't want to go alone my first time out, I dunno about me and I dunno about the bike so I'd like to go wit some folks the first time just to test the waters a bit. It'll be an excuse for someone to see the thriving metropolis of Crosby if you've never been =)

Glad you're doing better and the bike is coming along. Take it slow at first. I'd also recommend working with some very light, 2 to 5 lbs, free weights to help rebuild the stabilizing muscles.
Good luck and feel free to call me if you need any help while you're putting her back together.
