Bike(s):
trek

Grasshopper trying to learn the ways.

The only bike i own as of now is my trek, but i want to change that.
I joined the forum to do some researching for nub riders like myself.

I plan to take the MSF class and learn as much as possible before i get on streets with traffic, or purchase a bike/gear.

I rode my friends sv650s around the neighborhood and what a feeling ( in my pants) (wore his gear)

I want to pick up a 250 or a gs500. I am 6 foot 6 (last time i checked) and about 210 pounds. Was wondering if that is a good choice for a bike my frame?
I plan to commute and make lots of friends and go on safe group rides.

welcome man...
your doin it the right way. take it from me....
take the class first and get the gear first ----dont get the bike first, cause then you wont be tempted to ride without having the necissities.

just some newbie to newbie advice, good luck man

Welcome to MH.

You'll regret buying a 250 or GS500 inside of 60 days. Just my humble opinion, base on personal experience. BTW, I am 6"5'.

Welcome! Get whatever bike you feel comfortable on- but for your first, definitely buy used, so you won't be so sad when you drop it.
