Your Help With New Gear Choices

I'm asking for any input or advice choosing a new lid, jacket and riding jean/pants for 09. I ride mostly street no track time yet but will hopefully get to do a track day this year.

I'm headed to the hill country in April and would like to be fully geared up. My currant gear is Shoei GSXR (blue/wht)'01 lid, A-star gloves and jacket'07. I use regular jeans when I ride:(

The bike I ride is an 02 Telefonica (mostly blue). I've looked at the new HJC Elbow(?) some Shoei and KBC. For gloves Held. Pants I have no idea... Jacket I like Alpinestar and Joe Rockets, I'm guessing leather would be a good idea to.

So if you have any opinion and or advice on brands, style(color scheme) and places to buy these items chime in! Sponsors fill free to do a package deal...

Thanks in advance
Jason

Sounds like you have everything but boots and pants?

Riding jean pants w reinforcement can be found for around 35 add 30 for knee/shin underarmour; boots, depends on what you like. I wear mine for hours on end so I went with the Alpinestars for comfort and practically no weight(yes you can salsa in them too)

Or are you looking for leathers?

If you want a new lid, check Shark Helmets, you can get a R2s2 for about 350 USD, they have the same quality as Shoei but are not as recognized in the US.
For gear, depending on the doe, you might want to consider a two piece leather suit. Maybe a fieldsheer, they are not that expensive.

I have Astar SMX2 boots. I forgot to include that sorry Cali. Shark lids I've seen them but like you said not much in the US. I'll need to research them some when I get to a lap top or pc, my BB suck at surfing.

I've read great things about the Held glove and now they make 1pc suites (for track use)...

Who sells them local?

Anymore tips on Lids? Post pics or web links.

I've been looking at Competition Accessories and sport bike gear web sites...

I have an HJC helmet but I want to get a Scorpion for my next one.

I got a used 2 piece Fieldshear suit for the track and am very happy with it.

If you get a 2 piece they have to zip together all the way around to be legit. Check the track day sites for their requirements as some let you go with a Condora type fabric. You can also rent all the track gear needed for 100$ for the day.
