Carbon Fiber seat?

Anyone have their seat recovered? Ive been wanting to have mine recovered and think I want to use carbon fiber cloth, Dont work im not planning on applying the resin so it will not be hard. Anyone do this? just looking to hear some pro's and con's. This is the material I plan on using its a carbon fiber, kevlar hybrid in black and orange since it would match my bike.

i think it would snag on anything sharp or maybe something that was able to poke through it then get stuck. I think of it like dragging you finger along satin, any little inconsistenty snags it and messes it up

An auto upholstery shop on 518 in League City will install a fabric cover that mocks up carbon fiber. We laid the pattern over my seat and it looked pretty sharp. Reasonable price, too. I can't remember the name of the shop, but they are just past the main street park on your right as you head east from I-45.

No, it's a pattern pressed in to a nylon seat cover. That way, you get the waterproof cover with a look of CF. They have multiple colors.

Oh ok, well don't really want imitation I think I'm gonna have the rear seat covered and resin applied and hardened so it will be a solo cowl but not sure how the rider seat will hold up

then your passenger will be sliding off unless you put some clear silica on it for texture
