yes, if memory serves correctly you can change them over, along with almost everything else.

they did minimal changes from 03/4-05/6 07 models got the hefty makeover

the lowers and mids are interchangeable along with the airduct covers and tank cover. everything else is different.

in order to put o5-06 bodyset on an 03 model you will have to change the following

subframe
forks
headlight
ii think part of the airducts too (maybe)

Oopsies........I guess I didn't make too much sense in my first post.

The only thing I'd be using from the 05-06 plastics, is the Front tire hugger, and the right/left lowers. All the other plastics will be 03-04

05-06 are upside down forks so the front tire hugger won't work (shaped differently).

lowers are almost definately the same.

+1

I have an 04 and an 05 in my garage right now. The only thing that can be swapped is the lowers and mids, and maybe the gas tank cover.

If you decide to change anything else besides these, you will have to do a lot of swapping, as mentioned earlier. Tail end is more narrow so you would have to swap out subframe. If you do decide to do this, be warned that the 04 exhaust will not fit on the 05 subframe. The nose piece will not fit. The fairing stay and components will need to be changed out. As Lazyboy stated, the 04 forks are not like the inverted forks on the newer bikes.

Aren't those plastics the cheap chinese ones. I have heard to stay away from them. Why don't you just purchase decals or paint your existing ones?

Usually yes they are crappy.....but once i saw them in person last week, i decided to take the plunge. The inside of the fairings and lowers will need heat shield, and a few holes needed to be enlarged, but we put them on without headache. He's ridden to austin and back , called me up and said he had no shifting or melting.
