yea thats a good price but i had the 08 liter bike (gixxer of course) out the door for 11.1 but the 750 is what i went to get and just even looked better to me so i grabbed the 10 min til 8 gixxer for 10.5

Buy used if you want to save some money, and don't buy from a dealership. Shop Craigslist, and the "bikes for sale" section here. If you're stuck on buying new check out our sponsor section, there are a few dealers there that are in good standing with the community.

well for the 2009 cbr600 she could be right, its the first middleweight bike to hit 5 figures in the price category, with its new abs etc they hiked up the price.

but theoretically speaking you should be able to pick up a new middleweight (600cc) at around 9 or so out the door, well thats what i was seeing last time i actually shopped.

i refuse to buy new bikes as its a rip off to me, id rather buy one with like 1k miles on it and hardly used, for a fraction of the price, and then that saves you TTL, which is another hefty add on to the sticker price

I just looked up the list price for the 09 CBR 600RR with ABS and MSRP is 10.8K. The non ABS bike is 9.8K. So, OTD prices of mid 12K or higher on 600RR ABS bike just might happen to a few folks.

I would start with a used bike. You will save a lot of money and it won't sting as bad when you drop it. You should be able to get some good deals since it is winter.

Nah, it aint bad, it was just bigtime "little Mexico". But we liked it that way growing up. You from SE? Where in SE? Like Almeda? Gulfgate and Almeda were the when I was growing up. My mom moved to Pasadena but we kept going to Austin HS. Any of them places sound familiar?

DvlRacer is a good guy. Pretty sure if you do end up wanting a gixxer, his would be a good bet.

There's a very high probability that you'll drop your first bike a couple of times. If you're still dead set on a brand new one, you might wanna factor that in.

Either way, good luck and have PATIENCE. Remorse really sucks.

yep just had my buddy with a truck go out there with me, bought it loaded it on the back and spent half the ride back to houston lookin out the back window starin at my bike in awe, even had him turn on the light so i could see it when it got dark lol, but that one guy that suggested used in case u drop it had a point, it stings A LOT less, thats the only reason i considered buyin used, then i figured with new i'd be that much more careful, but hittin a bunch of loose gravel while already leaning into a turn? not much u can do about that now what really really hurt is that i didnt have my frame sliders on yet and i went down maybe a lil more than a block away from the shop, and i was goin there to have my frame savers put on wow that sucked, i could see the sign from the ground so what did i do? i picked my bike up and went back home lol

anyway didnt mean to go on that long but if your seriously interested PM me and ill find the guys card and give you all the info, i personally think its worth it

welcome to the fam! Hope you enjoy your stay!

if she's brand new to riding, she really shouldn't waste her $$ on a brand new bike, only to drop it and end up totalling it. She shold get a decent used bike and work her way up from there.
