NEW BIKE TOMORROW!!!

Tomorrow im going to get a classic and im pretty excited about it! I am getting a 1974 Honda Trail 70 or a CT70. I was looking to make my crf 50 street legal but it would cost a little bit for lights and the time and the title can give you trouble so my dad told me to check these out because he had one when he was a kid. So im going to pick it up tomorrow he is the original owner blah blah blah the insurance is going to be 6 dollars a month and I figured its a pretty sweet bike and as little as im paying for it, it should be perfect.
a couple pictures of it...

Nice ride, there are a lot of aftermarket parts for it and they are highly sought after little rides!

yeah I figured I could easily double my money on it if I got in a bind or got tired of it... im wondering about resell value I was thinking if the paint is a little faded which im sure it is If I got scoot to match the paint and powder the frame on it with some flake and then I could re apply the original sticker that looks like this where is says "honda trail 70"

Sweet
that was my second bike as a kid i had the ct 70 h model with the 4 speed with a hand clutch

looks like it has some xr 75 or 80 rear shocks on it. is the pipe rusted threw ?? big prob with those things and they are a little pricey and the head light looks after market isnt the speedo supposed to be in the headlight on that year? you will also need new triple and bars wich arent cheap.. just thowing the info out there just in case you are thinking of flipping it to make a little cash. my dad has restored a few and you can get some good cash out of them. but the people that pay good money are super about them

time for someone to start doing some reading. . . don't buy modern 70 parts expecting them to bolt up b/c most of them won't. that's a 6V not a 12V if the motor is original. www.dratv.com has some go fast parts if you want to hit 45MPH. I've been sanding, painting, and polishing my CT for a few months now, should have it back together by spring break. If you have any questions start a thread in the dirtbike/minis/other section. . .there are a few knowledgeable members on this board when it comes to old Hondas IMO.

If you want that to hold it's value don't paint it unless it's absolutely mandatory. My frame buffed out nicely with an orbital polisher and some meguires oxidation remover. . .check e-gay for decals

Check out the wheels i got for mine. . .
