i would rather pay 200-500 up front rather than have insurance go up, and then have to pay surcharges to keep my license until the points are all off of it...

i've been considering hiring an atty. to get my ticket dropped, but the guy was nice and only wrote it for 71 in a 60 (i was doing 85, said he clocked me at 81), so my ticket and everything to do DD is only gonna be like $200. is it still worth it to try and get an atty to get it dropped?

Look at it this way....with a attorney its never a for-sure thing....so you have the chance that it wont get dismissed, then your out atty fees, ticket fees, court fees....insurance fees....etc.

If you can take DD and have nothing else to worry about, $200 is a cheap way out...and its a guaranteed solution....unlike the above!

good luck!

Your best chance is to have him talk the judge into giving you deferred. Of course, it depends on your driving record too. He got deferred for 105 in a 60, but I haven't had a ticket on my record in 14 years.

It will be well worth the small amount you pay. Court cost + attorney fees.

Thanks, but Charlie only does Harris and Houston. They refereed to another attorney Nancy (713) 226-7889. Also Charlie number is (713) 785-8555, if any one needs to know.

Thanks morvegil !! Earl sounds like a great guy, but his fee is $250.00 + court. Kind of pricy there.

burnboy- David Sprecher only for Houston and Harris.

Here is what I have come up with just in case you need an attorney.

Daniel Corrine (Houston) 713/224/3222
changer 125.00 + court
David Sprecher (Houston) 713/639/2600

Earl Spielman (Any Where) 713/981/4200
250.00 + court, depends on where you got the ticket

Marjorie A. Muniz (Any Where) 713/226/8911
125.00 + court

Lance Smith (Any Where) 713/880/5850
150.00 + court
