broke my leg out of Russells ........ I know, I know, who hasn't

you must know some Scots peeps,
Bob Grant, Norman Brunton, Liam Lyon, Adam Lyon, Ross Walter

my bud Pat Sheridan did some SuperStock Cup in 07 and a DP at Brands, you know him???
Yes, Russells is too low and too slow.

Yeah, Bob and Norman I know well enough. Bob did the Honda engines, suspension and big bike suspension. He has a place at Knockhill now.

Norman won the Superstock Cup in 2007 and promptly took a year off and missed on free entry to Superstock the next year! Still, save 2 grand and spend 20, thats a deal.

Liam, Adam and Ross I know of, but they didnt do much up North. You have to leave Scotland if you want to actually go somewhere, so to speak. MRO, Superstock and alll that Likewise I know Pats name, but not personally.

I didnt really head South until the end when I knew my time, familys patience and money was running out.

There used to be quite a crew on Visordown, but that died off in the end.

No, I didnt hear that about Liam. Good for him.

I enjoyed it when the pair came up to Knockhill, they gave Bob and co a run for their money.

Great thread and good map. Be sure to add on Haris Hill Road Course in SanMarcos, It's just south of Austin.

I picked up a MCN paper in London and saw many trackday orgs offering weekend get aways incld bike transport to tracks like Jerez and Portimao. Every ridin' any of these.

We don't have places like Brands, Donignton, Mallory, or Silverstone in our backyard but we do have better weather. I think you'll be happy with all the activity here in Houston. I like to go down to MSRH and watch trackdays and be sure to go watch the first CMRA race at TWS (Texas World Speedway) this year.

Thats a big thing I miss. We would normally go to Spain for a week during February for early testing, then we were good to go for the start of the season.

If you were flush, you would go back for Nov also.

Jerez is the biz. A former F1 circuit and world class facility. We were there 4 days after the infamous Rossi/Gibernau Motogp hairpin incident. You could see (if not folow) see all the black lines in and out the corners from the big boys. Rode round for 3 days pretending to be Rossi (15 secs slower). Mega! Happy days indeed.

Cartagena was agreat little circuit too, thats the one in the video. Great testing place, and very dry early in the year.
