yeah, houston streets can be pretty crazy. but no matter where you go, some punk or some dumb will pull some dumb on you. thats just part of riding, IMO. keep your chin up and your eyes peeled. as much fun as it is to ride "agressive" i still ride "defensive". ive been accused of taking it to easy, but then again...i have all my finger and toes. i will ride more agressive when traffic is lighter, etc...

i dont know about nighttime. i hear what you mean about less traffic, but light is a good thing. ill leave it up to everyone else to answer that one, but if i had to say something, i would say just get used to it. there is always going to be crazy out of nowhere, and you need to always be ready for it.

sorry, but like you say, thats just the game...

The best time to ride the streets is about 5-10 hours before a category 5 hurricane makes landfall.

Don't worry about what time it is. Just ride whenever you need to go some where.

That's usually when the drunk drivers are out. Try early Saturday or Sunday morning - like 7 or 8 AM. Sunlight + less drivers on the road.

i usually commute in the city, so best thing i could say is any time before and after rush hour, the last thing u want is to be riding during traffic, stay away from most freeways during this time too

There are plenty of nice country roads to cruize outside the city.
