Krogers? haha....How old are you? If your still a student, the restaurant business is probably the best bet...If you have the personality, you can make an endless amount of money while still studying, ya know!

Sorry for laughing, but I could never see myself working at Krogers...or any grocery store at that! Either way, good luck bro

go to one of your local colleges and take the process technology classes.
go to work as an operator in one of the local plants. business is gonna be booming in the next few years as a lot of the baby boomers are getting close to retirement.
make some good money and basically work half the year.
I work 4 on 4 off

that wasn't an operator then. That might have been in a warehouse or packager, maybe forklift operator. still a good way to get your feet in the door and still make good money.
Most plants hire thru certified temporary and meador staffing.
u can get shutdown work as a firewatch, most do nothing boring work but they run around $10-$12 an hour and work sometimes 5 or 6, 10 hours shifts. thru monday contract maintenence, fluor, brown and root, decent, quick money. Most operator positions start at about $20 per hour and top out at about $30 per hour depending where

try doing hotshot deliveries for a local company. if you know your way around houston, can read a key map, have common sense, AND some places will hire people that have a car vs. at least a small p/u truck or larger truck...etc...or......there are even delivery bicycle crews that work the downtown area and they all seem to hang out when possible w/ each other ....stay in shape and make $$$$$$$$ doing that! well, just a few thoughts about flexible jobs. great pay too!! most of the time!!

it's the process technology class. san jac has it in pasadena. Bachlors degree now i think, altho when i took it 8 years ago it was just a 7week? certificate.
That is what most chemical plants required other than operator expierence.
Our human resourses chick said that she has been hearing that there are gonna be all kinds of openings in the next several years to people retiring.
hours are kinda crappy, rotating shifts but the pay is good.

waiter. im telling you i was a waiter in high school...it was easy money. good money. time flies by fast because youre always running around and its not as hard as people say it is. if your competent enough, friendly enough, and have enough common sense...it should be a cake.
