you ridden the 848 or the 1098 b4? i havnt been so lucky

the built in lap timer and Ducati technology is pretty impressive.

i think my reason would be cost. but i can see where the 848 might be more appealing than a heavier liter bike. it all goes back to the 600/1000 comparison. Except the 848 is a bit of both.

I would like the 848 although the 1098 would be fun as well.

nice. i got a long ways to go until my R6 gets to be not enough bike for me. i think i have only ridden maybe 2000 miles now track and street combined. i ran a 2:04.1 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) last november with no windscreen and im hoping maybe mid 50's? maybe? by the end of the year

the class is held during your off session so you may lose no more than one session of the day if that. at the end of the day you'll have to do a 4 lap mock race. remember, when taking the cmra lic. class, you must wear your yellow jersey at all times when on the track and if you happen to crash, your day with the lic'ing is over. so take it easy during this time

yes, at any lstd event on any day on our schedule. if i were you, i would not take it at oak hill, this is a very technical track that loves to eat up bikes. trackday sure, but i would wait toride there till you have some good exp. just my opinon. don't really like it too much on the big bike. when it bites, it bites hard.

with ccs not racing here this year, i don't think it'll do you any good to get a lic with ccs. you can see our (lstd) schedule, at each and every lstd track day event, you are able to take the cmra lic. class to obtain a lic. to race with the cmra, we (lstd) are the only organization that you can obtain a cmra lic. through. i have posted our 09 schedule in the racers lounge as well as in the lstd sponsor section. our first event for 09 will be at oak hill raceway in feb.
