Biker Down (RIP)

I was on my way to work this morning at 0300 hrs. Heading north on 45 gettingon beltway 8 east. I had to divert my route due to the ramp being closed. Here is the story on abc 13.

RIP MAN....

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?se...81889#bodyText

Sad to hear this. I see the helmets on the side of bikes allot.

RIP brother. Although the helmet was on the side of the bike, the 1000 ft slide would mostly likely left him dead or seriously and permanently injured.

So the ABC headlines read: "Motorcyclist dies in serious crash in SE Houston." Wow. Who knew there were fatal accidents that weren't serious? I'd say that any crash where a person dies is implicitly serious, ABC.

And here's a real mental giant posting on ABC's website: "Looks like another 'crotch rocket' bit the dust. That's all those things are good for. Idiots buy them and fly up and down the highways like they are at Indianapolis." Yes, sir, that's all they are good for, clueless.

It wasn't a 1000 foot slide. He fell off and his bike ghost rode for another 1000 feet.

He fell 1000 feet to the ramp below. I am sure the bike was still on the top ramp and he went over the bars from hitting the side wall of the beltway around a curve at excessive speed. Two guys went down on a freeway ride from pp1 last night but came out ok from what I hear. Too many wrecks for too few days. Control your speed and wear the helmet. No reason for me to ride without a helmet.

. 1000 feet, huh? This makes the BW8 ramps one of the highest bridges in the world.

Let's face it, we have a few (or should I say many) bad apples with sportbikes riding like Idiots all throughout Houston, off the average Joe Cager. We see it on an almost daily basis.
