I think the bikes are pretty much comparable speed wise. There are differences in ride and handling, but not much. At least that is what I found.

I have gixxa because it seems more comfortable. I also like the way the powerband is set up for my style of riding. I seem to keep the RPM's in the 7-12,000 range and the gixxa pulls hard there. Just seems to work out for me.
