i think you have to be registered. heres the story copied and pasted.

A friend of mine had the rims stolen off his car monday night in his driveway. It's a 99 Civic Si so the rims look like this.

*EDIT* STOCK SI WHEEL PIC HERE! *EDIT*

So we start looking online to see if anyone was DUMB enough to try to sell these on any local board and look what we found.

http://www.houston-imports.com/forum...d.php?t=256899

What an IDIOT. he post the wheels he stole at 3:30AM that same morning. ok, so we think we got our guy. the tires on the add are the EXACT same as the ones he had JUST bought, but he had only bought 3 new ones. WHAT A STRANGE SIMILARITY! this guy had 3 new tires (khumo) and one that was about a year old (BFG) and my friend had a reciept for those exact tires in his glove box. Soo i get one of my friends on H-I to PM him saying that she had a friend that was very interested.

"Hey i've got a friend interested. He's got a green civic, but he's been riding on mismatched wheels and needs some new ones ASAP!

Let me know a phone number or address i can catch ya at and see how bad the curb check is, would like to pick them up this weekend before christmas if possible.

Thanks,
"

I didnt want someone with no post hitting him up because I thought it would be to obvious. so we have his # a couple hours later and decied we will meet him to "check out" the curb rash. we say we are from somewhere we are not and roll up to meet him but FIRST we send another buddy to the "spot" first. We meet the guy and it took everything my boyu had not to beat the out of him. so after checking them out and varifying that they were the correct wheels and tires we haggeled him down on the price a little and set a meet time for today (11am) and left.

What about that other friend? Oh yeah. he followed the guy home after he left all sneaky like cause the cops said that they needed an address. that was our plan the whole time.

I forgot to mention that never did we try to take this into our own hands and that we were in constant communication with the constables the whole time except for the meeting last night. we did not want them telling us we could not do that so we just did it and called them when we got back with all of our newly aquired info. Plate #, Phone #, make and model, address...all of the goods needed.

So this morning at 9 we called the constables and let them know what the final plan was and they said ok. My friends parents went early to the spot to cam and my boy got their short after (cops said I should not go today). then the guy showed up. Mind you this guy is all of 5'7" and 170 TOPS and it would have been fun for us to beat the everliving out of him last night we knew that was not the right way to go about doing things. as soon as he stepped out of the car...BAM! 2 cops roll up and through him in the back of a cop car. they searched his car and found the wheels and tires and with matching dicount tire coupon reciepts in hand they took the stupid little piece of to jail. I think they are now getting a warrent to search this guys house to see if they can get any other goods on him.

sorry the story was a little long winded but the last to days have been a pretty cool adreniline rush!

oh yeah, his name on H-I is hoe_WANG_sta

Good for his ! I hate thieves. Did you read the whole post on the Mustang board where there's a guy "pretending" to be his friend and threatening them?
