HELP WITH TICKET

ok, so im on my way home from work tonight im doing 70 in a 55. im the only person on this strech of road. a cop passes by and slams on his brakes, i think to myself, do i downshift and run or just stop...heavy traffic ahead made me pull over. i am stopped in a parking lot with my helmet off and i had allready gotten my insurance out from under my seat be fore he even pulled in. the still gave me a ticket, then thanked me for stopping like i did. friendswood!!! can i still get an attorney and get it dismissed or something...

You can take dfensive driving since you were doing under 25 over or you can ask for deffered. Save the $ instead of the attorney.

Get a lawyer They are pretty damned cheap between 100-200 bucks and your like 99% chance of getting out of it with nothing on your reckerd.

I suggest kenneth bradshaw I will get his number in a little while it looks as though i have lost my damned phone

yeah, friendswood police aren't the most lenient law enforcers out there. good luck with the ticket.

turns out a guy who just came to work for us is a retired friendswood cop. i talked to him earlier and he said he would call the other cop to see what he could do. im keeping my fingers crossed. it wouldnt be that big a deal, except the state has suspended my license before for having to many speeding tickets, they said if i kept getting tickets then they would suspend it indefinately...not a cool feeling. i finally have no tickets on my record and really want to keep it that way.

i'd like to know just what exactly traffic lawyers do to get people off the hook? if the cop busts you with a radar or whatever, i mean what can a laywer really say?

I was told that the lawyers can find out when the cops are on vacation and reschedule your court date during that time period.

p.s.
I NEVER speed in Friendswood.

Use a lawyer at this point to get it postponed until your deferred is over with. i believe it is on conviction of a prior offense for your current deferred. So, postponing it will allow it to clear and then you go on deferred again but, I am by no means inclined to give legal advice.
