Sport Rider Journalist Andrew Trevitt Update

I didn't realize that Moto-Journalist, Andrew Trevitt, of Sport Rider magazine had gone down in and altercation with a two wheeler in November, but the bad news is below. Trevitt is widely known for his "Ask the Geek" column and spent most of his life riding motorcycles and not even owning a four wheeler.

Update on Andrew Trevitt and the "Getwelltrev" fund

On November 10, 2008, Andrew Trevitt, senior editor at Sport Rider magazine, suffered a catastrophic accident involving a car that resulted in multiple fractures and spinal injuries. Andrew has endured four major surgeries, and faces months of rehabilitation. His recovery is going well however, and he has already been transferred to a rehabilitation center to begin the first phase of his rehab process.

Many have asked what they can do to help. In order to help ease the transition to his new way of life and assist the Trevitt family with the future costs they will inevitably encounter, the "Getwelltrev" fund has been set up by his family and friends. A non-profit/tax deductible application for the fund is currently in process with the IRS. If you wish to contribute now, checks can be made out to getwelltrev and sent to the following address:

c/o Andrew Trevitt
1119 Linden Ave #2
Glendale CA 91201

Andrew and his family are deeply moved by the support and concern they have received during this difficult time. Our profound thanks and gratitude to all.
