Reading your story is heartbreaking. I'm so sorry you're going through this. My daughter had an injury when she was nine, and was close to losing her leg. She had a muscle flap transfer and skin grafts. If it's bearable, I'd like her to meet you. She is very interested in others' injuries and she has an amazing attitude about her scars and her story.

I won't say you're lucky, because I don't like to say it about her, but you will heal and walk again one day! Keep your positive attitude! Prayers sent.

Wow! Sorry you had and are still having to go through such a horrible ordeal. From reading your post you sound like you have a strong mind and a positive outlook. Keep up the hard work in rehab. Keep us posted.

Well, I didn't see the lights, but I saw the side of the trailer just before it hit. I was just conscious enough to push my body out of the way. It was like slow motion really. I didn't really feel the pain, but I heard it pop twice and that vibration rattled my bones all over. After the first pop I knew what happened immediately, so I pushed again before it got my arm. It took a few seconds for the pain to kick in, but it was mostly the fear that struck me. Especially after I saw my knee laying open. I was so off, I was screaming till I couldn't breathe. I knew that was the last thing I needed at this time of my life. Then I was mad when they cut off my favorite riding denims and my Triumph jacket that really wasn't damaged much, and my helmet by the strap. I guess it was kind of foolish to be mad about that, but I guess it took my mind off it. But at least now, when somewhat says: "Man,... it feels like I just got ran over by a truck!" I can say "No you don't!"

Man I wont lie... Its going to be ruff. There are going to be days that your going to get really down and just want to give up.. DONT. Feb 29 last year I had a very bad accident and broke- left leg (compound), right ankle, right knee, my back, lost my spleen, bruised both my lungs, punctured a kidney. They said I wasnt going to pull through my first surgery... I DID. Then the said i may not walk and if i do it would be with a severe limp... Well it is less than a year out and Im running jumping and playing like a real boy no one would ever notice that ive ever been though that. Remember that your body and do some much more than you think it will. YOU are the one who determines how well you heal NOT THE DOCTORS or THERAPISTS. You can do it trust me. I also know what its like not to be able to walk for a LOOOONNNNGGG time. I know it leads to alot of alone time when everyone else is out living their daily life. so if you ever need to talk to someone shoot me an E-mail or something id be more than happy to talk to ya.

You dont need luck
WILLPOWER IS WHAT WINS (and it looks like you got it)

Dont give up

ian
