We still have some folks that are not confirmed in a run group. Please look at the red highlights and send me a PM. If you see your friend's name there, please let them know to contact me Please look at the red highlights and send me a PM. If you see your friend's name there, please let them know to contact me.

This ride will be on Saturday, January 3rd. The route will be starting at the Shell Station at 45 and 242, better known as PP69. From there we'll take the usual route to the Forest, then 3090, and then lunch at Yankees. We'll keep things organized for the ride home as well.

Plan to arrive at 9 am or so with kick stands up at 9:30 am. Please wear all your gear and ensure your friends are geared up too. Helmets, jackets, gloves, and boots will be required. Knee protection is highly recommended as well and is worth the $25 bucks at Motorcycles Unlimited. Folks, please don't show up without gear, Hooligan "The Gangsta" gets tired of having to enforce the rules.

To clarify, this will not be some crazy bonzai run through the forest. We're going to have a large group that will be split up. At a minimum it will be split into three groups. The first for riders with little to no experience in the forest/3090 or those new to their bikes; the second for those that have been on 3090 a few times; and the third for experienced riders who might want to kick things up a notch. We'll figure out who will be leading which group as the ride evolves further. I will be leading either the first or second group.

Revision 5 of the group assignments with some leaders and sweepers confirmed. Group A is the noob group, Group B is the intermediate folks that have 3090 experience (5 or more rides) and Group C are the freaking psychos.

For those that are not yet assigned, PM me your groups. Send me the PM personally, please.

I can do A on the way back if no one else steps up. I dont want to see anyone left behind. With a group like this and the potential to an hour wait for food for those in Group A getting to Yankees after everyone else, I always feel the need to make sure everyone makes it back(250 or not lol)

Cali, you said you wanted to ride fast coming back. Don't worry about the A group, I'll get it covered. Have a good time on the return.

If you are curious about the breakdown of riders thus far... it's

A group 14 riders (2 leaders) "New to 3090 or their bikes"
B group 20 (2 leaders) "Experienced"
C group 13 (1 leader) "Highly spirited group"
Unknown 4

And 1 ride sweeper in a car, just in case! If any of you guys have somebody who would be willing to come along in a truck and 2 rail trailer, it would be nice to have it just in case a Honda breaks down.

Sorry if this has been asked already - would there be any problem with switching gropus on the return route, and would it be the same route both ways?

There are a few people that will be switching groups for the return ride. The return route will be close to the same, but we may avoid Honea Egypt.

In reality, once the group reaches Yankees, quite a few riders will break off into smaller groups with their friends for the return and will ride routes that get them closer to homes without a lot of extra miles. However, for ride organizational purposes we'll still have leaders and sweepers that will return back to the ride start.

That would be great to have somebody available on call. Thanks Cali.

Still would be nice to have somebody with a trailer driving with us, if that's possible.
