post whores.............take this t to the off topic threads.
I make funny!

This ride will be on Saturday, January 3rd. The route will be starting at the Shell Station at 45 and 242, better known as PP69. From there we'll take the usual route to the Forest, then 3090, and then lunch at Yankees. We'll keep things organized for the ride home as well.

Plan to arrive at 9 am or so with kick stands up at 9:30 am. Please wear all your gear and ensure your friends are geared up too. Helmets, jackets, gloves, and boots will be required. Knee protection is highly recommended as well and is worth the $25 bucks at Motorcycles Unlimited. Folks, please don't show up without gear, Hooligan "The Gangsta" gets tired of having to enforce the rules.

To clarify, this will not be some crazy bonzai run through the forest. We're going to have a large group that will be split up. At a minimum it will be split into three groups. The first for riders with little to no experience in the forest/3090 or those new to their bikes; the second for those that have been on 3090 a few times; and the third for experienced riders who might want to kick things up a notch. We'll figure out who will be leading which group as the ride evolves further. I will be leading either the first or second group.

Revision 5 of the group assignments with some leaders and sweepers confirmed. Group A is the noob group, Group B is the intermediate folks that have 3090 experience (5 or more rides) and Group C are the freaking psychos.

You are welcome to the Daytona, but it sits pretty high.

Wow! That is very sweet. I could make Bubby ride it and the Honda!

I may just take you up on that if you really wouldn't mind.

haha, this thread cracks me up.

cdill, since your going to be leading for the majority of the ride (in the times im not cracking the throttle passing you :0 )
i think it would be wise to tell C group we are not going to be waiting 10 minutes after every road, so if you can keep up after the first couple routes, hang back and wait for the slower groups...yes, i think that sounds pretty fair
obviously the sweeper (bigpat) i have heard can ride pretty decently and should be able to pick out people that should or shouldnt be riding, i just know everytime we ride, its enough time for a smoke break for some of the riders to catch up once we change routes.

maybe im just blabbering and if i quit thinking about it, all will be well lol

Depends on how you all wanna ride up there.

I'd keep the spirited ride to 3090 personally.

As for the other groups, they have leaders that know where they are going.

yeah cali, thats true, i only rip it through certain parts of the forest, its more of a scenary route to me, as for 3090 though, thats opening up a whole other can of worms

i guess im reflecting on a fayettville route where it was a road change every 10 minutes

Yep, you are just blabbering. Ba ha ha ha. The C group is for folks that have been down 3090 a frequent number of times and are likely experienced track riders. If you think you aren't fast enough for the psycho C group, then I'd ask that you stick to B. C group will likely see deep, deep triple digits at a few points in the ride and be at knee dragging speed in several corners.

However, the C group leader will still stop at every intersection where we turn, wait for the sweeper, and ensure that all the riders are accounted for before proceeding. That's the way we ride.

HEADS-UP!!! C-Group

C group will likely see deep, deep triple digits at a few points in the ride and be at knee dragging speed in several corners.

However, the C group leader will still stop at every intersection where we turn, wait for the sweeper, and ensure that all the riders are accounted for before proceeding. That's the way we ride.

Yup.

Furthermore, from the list of riders I see in C, I know every single on of them. I would not anticipate a wait or longer than 20 secs. Plus, I dont do triple digits thru the forest...too many cops and cross traffic. Feel free to pass me thru there if anyone wants to....I do not recommend it.

We will gather at the Shell, in Anderson, then there is only 2 intersections along 3090 to wait at. 1 midway and the other at the end.

Curt has mentioned it, but I will again, because being real is the only way, IMO.

If you are not ready to ride, deep deep triple digits, then go with B. Everyone in C...we ride together regularly, we all ride together and trust each other. Anyone is welcome, but remember, you are your own man and you make your own decisions. You know your limits, not me.

I think, in Slowblacks defense, what he is getting at, is that when slower riders tag along, and we get to the intersections, the question is who will show up first, the rider or the cops. This is rarely an issue on this route.

No need to flame. I know EXACTLY what I am doing and the consequences I could pay. Just want the others to be informed, as well. Flame someone else.

Big Pat and I will make sure noone is left behind.

We still have some folks that are not confirmed in a run group. Please look at the red highlights and send me a PM. If you see your friend's name there, please let them know to contact me Please look at the red highlights and send me a PM. If you see your friend's name there, please let them know to contact me.

For those that are not yet assigned, PM me your groups. Send me the PM personally, please.
