i dunno about yamahas but hondas have a serial number on the ignition, between the body of the switch and the steering head, and if you can get that code some locksmiths can cut a key with just that. we had a guy do that for a bike i bought with no keys. cost $25 for the first key and $5 per copy, and the guy used oem honda blanks.

I was able to get a key at the dealership by giving them a number on the back side of the ignition switch, it was for a Honda so call the dealer and ask them if that will work for you.

I called a dozen of them found one who had it, seems like they all can do it just has to be during the day when they can get a blank easily.

i charge 175 normally if its more than that i wouldnt do it.
we are expensive though, but its a security issue think about it. This guy will have a key to your bike.
you should make sure they have their locksmith license, and are bbb ect. ect.
