I need an attorney. . .

... to file a suit against my dealership. I don't wanna say much about but I need one that will only charge if we win, and get me the results I want. I've been looking for a couple weeks with no results. PM me details, please.

good luck with finding an attorney that will collect when you win in civil litigation. Very few will take the case without a retainer fee.

The only way a good one will do it on contingency is if they are confident of a slam-dunk. If you're not having any luck with that, sounds like you're chances or winning are not very good. A lot of times people think something is obvious and they can sue, but most of the time, it's not the case.

You'll probably have to deal with paying. If you win, you'll get all that back anyway.

In my opinion, you don't need a lawyer to file a lawsuit. Just go to the county court and pay the fee and file it. When you stand in front of the judge just explain the reason for this lawsuit. Plain and simple.

+1

The attorney's are probably not seeing big enough $$$ either, so that's even more reason to DIY.

I know you understand, I'm just saying from a lawyer's standpoint they would be working for free. At least it is a BIG gamble for them. You might find some young (hungry) attorney that might do something with you, but not a established one. They get spoiled real quick.

Also look into some community law services. I thought there were some free services offered from law schools and such. Maybe look up the law school office at U of H

Do It Yourself (DIY)

You lost me with the last statement, you can do a refinance at any bank, you don't need a lawyer for that...

Here is an old English saying, "He who represents himself in a court of law has a fool for a client and a jackazz for an advocate (US =attorney)." Learned it in elementary and has stuck for years.

Another one that stuck is, "Don't sign anything not filled out, as you could be signing your death warrant."

These just popped in my head when I read this thread

I've heard this too, but I don't think the spirit is intended for small claims court or something of the like. More in the spirit of defending one's self in a murder trial or something of that severity.

Hiring an attorney for something you can handle yourself in small claims court is plain wasting money IMHO.

Besides, I can't understand what a lawyer is needed for in this case anyway For getting a refinance?

if i wanted to refinance and my current lender would not help me, i would just find a new lender, send the old one a check for the payoff amount and that's that.

Well I'm not sure how much I should be saying so I'll tell as little as possible for now. The contact is void and connot be refinanced with the current information.

You need to talk to your bank, I think the dealership is not steering you in the right direction here. Sounds like a sales tactic to me if I'm reading between the lines correctly.
